Lubbock Murder Victim Buried at West Point

The retired Air Force colonel killed in his southwest Lubbock garage last week, has been laid to rest.

Don McCullough's wife and sons escorted his body to West Point, New York, this week. On Wednesday, he received a full military burial.

McCullough is a 1958 graduate of West Point.

On Monday, NewsChannel 11 spoke with McCullough's widow.

"For Don, this is a great honor. This was his school," said Margaret Mary McCullough. "This was the most distinguished thing or part of his life."

The couple was married at West Point. Next year would have been their 50th wedding anniversary.

Don McCullough was stabbed to death in his Southwest Lubbock home on July 9. Alonzo Lewis is charged with capital murder in the case.
