Texas Tech Soccer Adds One More

Texas Tech Head Soccer Coach Felix Oskam announced on Tuesday the signing of goalkeeper Beth Lippert to a national letter of intent. Oskam’s 2002 class grows to nine with the addition of Lippert, giving him the largest signing class during his tenure as the head coach of the Red Raiders.

Lippert, a native of Woodinville, Washington, is a senior at Woodinville High School where she has been named First Team All-King County and was a member of the All-East Side team and was also named MVP by her teammates in two different seasons -- 1999 and 2001. She also led her high school team to a fourth place finish in the state tournament this past season. For the last three seasons, she has been part of the state of Washington's Olympic Development Program and has played with the Washington Soccer Club.

She joins eight other 2002 signees:

  • Stephanie Colbert (defender)
  • Brandi Sims (forward)
  • Mary Strode (forward)
  • Karen Stephens (midfielder)
  • Allison Horn (defender)
  • Carrie Jones (defender)
  • Lindsey Duke (forward)
