Family members tell NewsChannel 11 that an elderly woman, Nadine Rogers, 78, was found brutally murdered in her Abernathy home.
Authorities tell NewsChannel 11 that Rogers was a victim of a violent crime, and they have a male suspect in custody.
The Hale County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at about 4:50am, who in turn notified the Abernathy Police Department.
A family member reportedly spoke to Rogers around 11:30 p.m., and investigators believe she died in her home before 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.
