Police are searching for two Lubbock teens, who allegedly shot and killed a third teen in central Lubbock Wednesday night.
The shooting happened just before 6:00 outside Harwell Elementary at 41st and Avenue D.
Police have now identified the victim as Javier Eduardo Castaneda, 15.
They also believe Castaneda knew his killers, saying the incident appears to be gang related.
"It started out as an altercation, a verbal altercation, the subjects seperated," said Lubbock Police Sgt. Ross Hester. "They came back to the intersection of 41st and Ave. D, where more words were exchanged and a subject broke out a long barrel .22 rifle and fired at least 7 rounds."
Right now, authorities are searching for Alfredo Perez, 19. He is about 5 feet 5 inches tall, and 145 pounds.
They are also looking for Vincent Lee Sandoval, 18. He is about 5 feet 5 inches tall, and 130 pounds.
Both men were last seen in an older model four door Mercury Grand Marquis. It was white, with dark tinted windows.
