Hale County Authorities Search for Highway Shooter

Authorities are also searching for the man who allegedly shot at an area motorist just before noon Thursday.

The stranded driver told authorities he was changing a tire on I-27 near Hale Center, when someone drove by and shot at him. The man was not hit, but there are two bullet holes in the side of this truck, and a bullet grazed his windshield.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man, last seen wearing dark sunglasses and a baseball cap turned backwards. He made his getaway in a small black four door sedan.
