Wayland Baptist University is the oldest university in continuous existence on the High Plains of Texas. More than 6,000 students are enrolled.

"It's a great place to come. We have a nice university, with lots of good things, theater, music, art and other things as well, " art professor Dr. Candace Keller said. 

The Malouf Abraham Family Art Center in the basement of the Wayland library showcases artists from across the world.
