The Lubbock City Council has approved funding for three new fields for the Northwest Little League Complex. Originally, the council was set to discuss building only two fields.
"We can't approve something and then go back and tell the community and the ballpark, now you're only going to get two ballparks," Lubbock resident Lala Chavez said.
Now, the City of Lubbock will have to find the money to include a third field in that project.
The goal is to have it complete by the 2008 season.
