Medical Condition May Have Caused Drowning

Lubbock Police say the drowning death of a 27-year-old man may be linked to a medical condition.

Police say Sean Marricle drowned at the pool at Town Plaza apartments at 3508 50th Street. Friends found his body around 9 p.m. Thursday evening and called for help.

Police say, at this point, they have no reason to believe there was any foul play in the drowning. Police say Marricle may have suffered a seizure before the drowning.

An autopsy and toxicology tests are scheduled for Monday.

NewsChannel 11 has also learned that Marricle died on his birthday. He was celebrating with friends at the apartment.
