Area Kids Shine in Musical

They've been practicing all summer and now you have the chance to catch 100 area kids in "Dear Edwina" - a musical.

The show will feature students ranging from 3rd grade to 8th grade who have participated in the Summer Stars Theater Camp.

The show is giving them a chance to showcase what they have learned throughout the camp.

"We had 107 kids who were just thrilled at the turnout and how well it all turned out and the kids are wonderful and its wonderful to have all these kids and parents here just enjoying learning about theater," says Bob Chanda, the Summer Stars Theater Camp Founder.

Saturday night is the final performance of the musical.

It begins at 8:00 p.m. at Hemle Recital Hall located on the Texas Tech campus. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children. For more information call (806)577-7441.
