Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Suspected Drunk Driver

A Lubbock pedestrian is in critical condition Sunday evening after being hit by a suspected drunk driver. Matthew Paul Henderson was walking across the street in the 1500 Block of University Avenue around 2:00 a.m. Sunday when he was hit by Jerica Hart.

Hart was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry Southbound on University and Henderson was walking Eastbound across the street when the accident happened.

Henderson was taken to University Medical Center where he remains in critical condition Sunday evening.

Hart was booked into the Lubbock County Jail Sunday afternoon. Her charges are not known at this time.
