Members of Listen Lubbock will host their fourth Listening Session at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 26, in the Estacado High School Cafeteria at 1504 E. Itasca Ave.
The Listening Session will focus on the capital improvement bond authorization projects recently proposed to the Lubbock City Council by the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC).
Listening Stations, each covering a certain area of the proposed projects, will be located throughout the session venue, and participants will be able to offer input or ask questions regarding the relevant projects at each Listening Station.
"This type of format really allows for gathering great input and being able to answer any questions participants might have," Listen Lubbock chairman and Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood Association President Greg Bruce said.
Estacado High School is located near the Lubbock airport and northeast Loop 289 on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and Itasca Ave. It is one block north of Erskine Street. Turn west from MLK Blvd. onto Itasca. Go past school to the northwest parking lot and enter the northwest vestibule door (with sign) and follow directions to the cafeteria.
Listen Lubbock is a collaborative group of community organizations, neighborhood associations, the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and community leaders. The purpose of Listen Lubbock is to facilitate discussion on the Citizens Advisory Committee recommendations and build community consensus regarding those recommendations.
