Florida Sex Offender Wants Hockley County Indictment Thrown Out - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The first man charged under the Adam Walsh Act on the South Plains is requesting that his indictment be thrown out.

Carlos Garcia is charged for his failure to register as a sex offender across state lines. He is a convicted sex offender from Florida, arrested by Hockley County authorities last month.

In court documents, Garcia's attorney claims no one told Garcia he had to re-register every time he crossed state lines.
