World Changers Helping with Lubbock's Substandard Houses - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Several Lubbock homes are getting a much needed make-over thanks to a volunteer group.

Eighty adult and youth volunteers are in Lubbock this week to repair substandard homes as part of the World Changers program. They help residents who are not able to do the repairs themselves either because of a disabilities or financial reasons.

"The homeowners are all glad of what we can do for them," said Don Potter, First Baptist Church of Allen volunteer. "They all have some special which is why they qualify for the program."

Local volunteers from the "Love Thy Neighbor" program and other area organizations were on hand as well.
