Codes Field Exercise Thursday in South Overton and Heart of Lubbock - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The Code Administration Section of the Lubbock Police Department will be conducting an intensive neighborhood inspection of the South Overton and Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood on Thursday, August 2, 2007, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Code Inspectors will be working in the area bordered by University to Avenue Q, Broadway to 26th Street.

Solid Waste will provide a container for citizens to dispose of their bulky items at 2105 13th Street.

The object of this exercise will be to identify violations relating to junked Vehicles, nuisance weeds and rubbish, substandard housing and zoning.

Code Administration Inspectors will be talking to the public to provide education regarding these types of violations, citing violations and possibly abating violations during this exercise.
