Man Leads Authorities on Brief Chase - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Authorities arrested a man late Friday night after he led police on a brief chase.

NewsChannel 11 was the only one on the scene moments after DPS troopers placed handcuffs on this man.

The chase began on Highway 84 around 11:00 p.m. Friday and ended in the 800 Block of south 10th Street in Slaton around 11:45 p.m..

DPS has not revealed why they were attempting to stop the man but say they believe he was driving his silver dodge truck drunk. A trooper says the man could face evading arrest and DWI charges.

Authorities have not released the man's name at this time.
