Police are still investigating what caused a one car accident that left a Lubbock man dead Friday morning.
NewsChannel 11 has learned 50-year-old Phillip Thomas was actually found by his wife early Friday morning as she was walking to work. When she spotted his red car in a field at 114th and University, she flagged down another car to call police.
Police are still not sure when Thomas wrecked his car but know the accident occurred between 12:30 and 6:30 a.m. Friday.
Both Thomas and his wife were employees at River Smith's. The restaurant is now accepting donations to help with Thomas' funeral expenses at either one of their locations.
