The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce has been ranked among the top four chambers of commerce in the nation in its dues category. The Chamber was recognized at the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Convention in Sacramento, Calif., late last week. The designation is the only honor recognizing the dual role chambers have in both leading businesses and communities.
The Lubbock Chamber was selected based on its success in community leadership and organizational strength and being among the top in the nation for financial and membership growth as well as making a demonstrable impact on key community priorities in areas such as health care, community vitality and image, and advocacy.
"Being ranked among the top four chambers of commerce in the nation is an amazing honor and a testament to the new and expanded role chambers play in strengthening the economic vitality of our communities," said Eddie McBride, Lubbock Chamber of Commerce president. "It validates all the hard work and effort that our great members, staff, volunteers and leadership put in every day to ensure our businesses and industry prosper and our community remains one of the best in the nation to live, work, and play."
Accompanying the Lubbock Chamber as rated among the top four in the nation were the Chamber of Commerce of St. Joseph County, Indiana; the Chamber of Commerce of Fargo Moorhead, North Dakota; and, the Manatee, Florida Chamber of Commerce, which went on to receive the designation of Chamber of the Year in the specific dues category.
