Lubbock Western All-Stars in Title Game

The 11 & 12-year-old Lubbock Western All-Stars beat Benton, Arkansas 15-3 in the Southwest Region Semifinals in Waco.

Wednesday's win now moves them into the Championship game, which will be nationally televised on ESPN Friday night.

Western trailed 3-1 but ended up scoring runs in every inning, including 3 in the 3rd, 4 in the 5th and 6 in the 6th to pull away for the win. Now 17-0, they've outscored opponents 320-12.

A win on Friday would put Lubbock in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. No Lubbock team has ever reached that lofty series.

NewsChannel 11 will be in Waco with the team for Friday's championship.
