Boosters Urge Support for Western Little League All Stars

Lubbock's Western Little League All Stars defeated Arkansas Wednesday to become the first team in Lubbock Little League history to advance to the Championship game at the Southwest Regional Tournament in Waco, Texas.

This team will now represent Lubbock and the other 7 states from the Southwest Region in a nationally televised game on ESPN at 7 p.m. this Friday, August 10th

The winner of that game will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania August 17th through 26th.

If that happens, they will have to be in Williamsport on Tuesday, August 14. The team and their families will be faced with mounting travel expenses.

Their greatest need is for pledges for monetary donations or air miles from any airline.

These pledges would allow the team families to begin making plans over the weekend of August 11-12 if the team wins in Waco and advances.

If you would like to help the team, (click here).

Print and complete the pledge form, and fax it to (806) 748-9304, as soon as possible.

If you would like someone from the team to contact you, please email Traci Thorne (click here).
