NewsChannel 11 has learned that West Nile has been detected in Lubbock.
The Institute of Environmental and Human Health has received reports from mosquitoes that tested positive for the virus. There are no human cases at this time.
The infected mosquitoes were found in southwest and southeast Lubbock. The discovery serves as in important reminder to wear repellant with Deet.
