Disney Star Visits Lubbock to Promote Search for New Talent

Kids may know her as Agnes, from Disney's hit series, "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody." Actress, Allie Grant, is in Lubbock this weekend to host a special event for kids.

Grant, 13, is in Lubbock Friday through Sunday, to meet fans and conduct a workshop on the entertainment industry.

She has also had recurring roles on another Disney series, "That's So Raven," as Carly. And currently, she is appearing in the Showtime series "Weeds," a role for which she has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Grant has also finished filming "Fanboys," a movie that stars Carrie Fisher and William Shatner. The movie is rated PG-13, and is set to be released in Spring 2008.

You can meet Allie Grant Friday at Texas Water Rampage, between 2:30 and 5:30pm or Saturday at the South Plains Mall between 10:00am and 5:00pm.

National Talent Scout Angie Grant and National Talent Agent Sheryl Anderson will meet with the public and potential actors and models both days. A parent or legal guardian must accompany any child under the age of 18.

Grant is also hosting an acting workshop Sunday at the South Plains Mall, between 1:00pm and 2:00pm. If you would like to participate, the cost is $25.

    A large water main break has prompted the City of Tahoka to shut off water to make repairs. The City posted the message about the break on their Facebook page around 6:30 Wednesday morning.  A boil water notice is in effect until further notice. Copyright 2017 KCBD. All rights reserved.
