Six people are interested in replacing Mark Griffin on the Lubbock ISD board. Griffin resigned from the board earlier this month, saying it was time for a new perspective.
The deadline to file for the seat was Monday and the following have indicated an interest: Dan Pope, Melissa Collier, M. Brendell O'Briant, Dick Quade, M.T. Peter Ho, and Christopher Lonngren.
The board can either appoint someone or leave the seat vacant until the term expires in May and it's time for an election.
