BREAKING NEWS: Second DeLeon Recall Petition Fails - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

NewsChannel 11 confirmed Tuesday morning that the second attempt to recall Lubbock City Councilwoman Linda DeLeon has failed. 

According to petition organizers, 555 District 1 residents signed the petition; 77 signatures were disqualified meaning the petition failed by 23 signatures. Today in an afternoon news conference City Secretary Becky Garza announced the petition failed by 16 signatures.

You may recall, organizers of the recall petition say DeLeon did not support the Hispanic community when she voted in favor of the city buying the South Beach night club property.
