A Lubbock 911 call is revealing a sense of confusion about what happened the night Wayne Knox was killed at Fred's Gun Emporium.
A woman called 911 and told the operator, "He fell against something. He had heart problems." By listening to the call, it sounds like a medical emergency. However, when police arrived on the scene last Thursday night, they learned Knox had been stabbed in the abdomen shortly after a fight with another employee.
The next day, police arrested Ricky Lee Parrish and charged him with murder. NewsChannel 11 has learned the South Plains Boys Scouts have revoked the membership Parrish had with the group and severed all ties with him.
Meanwhile, a memorial fund has been set up for Wayne Knox. Donations can be made at any City Bank.
