Lubbock Area Foundation Gives Thousands in Teacher Grants - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Forty-one South Plains teachers will start the school year with special funding thanks to the Lubbock Area Foundation.

Tuesday afternoon, the Lubbock Area Foundation recognized 41 area teachers by giving them class room grants.

Lubbock Area Foundation Executive Director Kathy Stocco said, "It's for anything a teacher thinks will enrich the curriculum or enhance his or her ability to teach their subjects."

In all, $29,500 was given out Tuesday.
