South Lubbock Intersection Closed for Construction

Beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, the area around 98th Street at Avenue P will be partially closed due to the construction of a major water supply line for the Lubbock Cooper Independent School District.

Avenue P at 98th Street will remain open to north and south traffic however east and west-bound traffic on 98th Street will be limited.

98th Street between University and Avenue P will be open to local traffic accessing the residential area.

Other east/west traffic will be diverted to 82nd Street or 114th Street.

98th Street and Avenue P is scheduled to re-open at 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 26.
