Construction Detours 98th Street Drivers

The construction of a major water supply line is causing detours in south Lubbock.

Wednesday morning, crews started construction on the new line at 98th and Avenue P. It will supply water to the Lubbock Cooper Independent School District.

East and west bound traffic on 98th Street is limited, and most traffic is being diverted to 82nd and 114th Street.

The intersection is expected to re-open completely Sunday night.
