Massive Fire Destroys House in North East Lubbock County - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Fire investigators are expected to return to the scene of a house fire north east of Lubbock.

Residents near County Roads 2830 and 6410 notified the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department shortly before 1 am Friday morning. Firefighters from Idalou, Roosevelt, and New Deal were called to respond.

Strong winds proved to be a challenge for the first responders, as smoke and embers were carried away from the burning house. Dry conditions were also a concern, because this fire threatened other structures in the area.

No one was injured. Neighbors say this two story house was vacant.
