Suspicious Lubbock County Fire - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Fire officials are investigating arson as the cause in an overnight house fire.

Residents near County Roads 2830 and 6410 notified the Lubbock Sheriff's Department shortly before 1:00 a.m. Friday. Firefighters from Idalou, Roosevelt and New Deal also responded.

The wind was a challenge for the fire. Fire officials are investigating arson as the cause in an overnight house fire, as smoke and embers were carried away from the burning house. Dry conditions were also a concern because the fire threatened other structures in the area.

No one was injured.

Neighbors say this two story house was vacant.
