Toddler Remains in Critical Conditions; Father in Jail

The fate of a Lubbock father is now in the hands of the district attorney after police tell us he admitted to throwing his 2-year-old son.

The toddler is in critical condition at Covenant Medical Center.

His father, Jimmy Aleman, 22, is in the Lubbock County Jail, charged with injury to a child.

Aleman first told investigators the boy was injured while the two were playing early last week, but when the injuries didn't match the story, police say Aleman admitted he was angry and threw the child.

Investigators tell us the 2-year-old boy has traumatic brain injuries that happened when the toddler hit the floor.
