Two men involved with the First National Bank scandal are set to be sentenced Friday, and one of them is asking for leniency.
Walter Charles Cleveland filed court documents Monday asking for no jail time. Cleveland pleaded guilty to misprision of a felony, and faces up to three years in prison.
Cleveland is set to be sentenced Friday along with Kim Morris who faces up to five years in prison for conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The scandal involved a series of illegal loans and bank fraud. The bank has since changed owners and names.
