The Associated Press has learned that Idaho Senator Larry Craig has decided to resign from the Senate and will announce it tomorrow.
There have been days of public and private pressure stemming from Craig's arrest in an undercover vice operation in an airport men's room.
Republicans are also saying Idaho's governor already appears to have settled on a successor to Craig. That would be Idaho's lieutenant governor.
Neither President Bush, the national party nor any of Craig's GOP colleagues has publicly expressed support for the three-term senator.
