McBeath Retires from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A former Lubbock County Judge is leaving the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center for retirement. On Friday, Don McBeath retired as the Director of Telemedicine and Rural Health.

McBeath tells NewsChannel 11 that he became eligible for retirement in July, but waited until the end of the fiscal year. He says the Health Sciences Center was reorganized, eliminating his job. Rather than pursuing another position, he chose to retire after eight years in the department.
