Two great teams will come together this weekend to try and make history...the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Western Little League All-Stars.
I'll explain more in a minute, but first, big congratulations to the Red Raiders for winning their season opener against SMU. Tech football is sure to bring more fall excitement in the weeks ahead.
I think the community got a jump start on that spirit the past few weeks with the adventures of Western Little League World Series baseball.
It was touching to see more than 15,000 folks show up last Thursday to honor the team. And thousands more watched the excitement unfold right here on NewsChannel 11 at 6.
So consider this, now Texas Tech will pay tribute to the Western Little Leaguer's this weekend at halftime of their home opener against UTEP.
Tech athletic officials hope to break an all-time attendance record at this game. So if you can make it, call and get your tickets!
Help kick off another Texas Tech football season, honoring the All-Stars one more time, and be a part of a record breaking crowd.
