Dead Birds & West Nile

A reminder from the Lubbock Health Department.  If you see any dead birds, please report them by calling 775-3110.

Dead birds are often an indicator of the West Nile Virus, meaning, they've most likely been bitten by a mosquito that was carrying the virus.

As we told you last Friday, one person is being treated for the West Nile Virus here in Lubbock.
