Charges Against LCU Student Upgraded

Charges against a Lubbock Christian University student involved in a fatal drunk driving accident are now upgraded to intoxicated manslaughter.

Jerica Hart, 19, was charged with intoxicated assault after she allegedly struck a pedestrian in the 1500 block of University July 29, 2007.

Lubbock Police say her blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

The victim, Matt Paul Henderson, died the following day.
