Only in its second year, an area high school program aimed at saving lives, hopes to spread its message nationwide.
"We were the first group of people in the nation to create this, and through Project Ignition, we've been able to travel all over the nation and now we want to mentor other schools all across the US," said Bryson McCarty, Teen Driving Coalition.
The Area 61 Teen Coalition Against Destructive Driving held its first meeting of the year Monday night.
Shallowater High began the program for area districts last year in the wake of several teen traffic deaths.
