The City of Lubbock is getting a million dollar boost from Lubbock Power and Light. LP&L board members made that commitment Tuesday afternoon.
NewsChannel 11 was the first to alert you to the possible transfer last month.
The payment and terms are still being hammered out, but must be finalized before the end of the 2007-08 fiscal year.
Tuesday's commitment allows the city to budget that amount into next year's finances.
