Stabbing Victim Admits False Report

Residents of a central Lubbock neighborhood can rest a little easier.

Last week, NewsChannel 11 told you about police searching for a suspect in a stabbing at the Diamond Shamrock at 28th and Slide. Investigators now say the victim in this case has admitted to filing a phony police report and that the wounds were self inflicted.

Police have not filed any charges at this time.
