So you want to have a baby boy next time? Gaining weight between pregnancies may be the key.
Researchers at Harvard studied the medical records of over 220,000 women who had two consecutive pregnancies in recent years. They analyzed the change in the mother's weight in between the first and second pregnancy. They found the more weight the mother gained, the greater her chance of having a boy the second time around.
But, the experts at Harvard stress this does not mean you need to get fat to have a baby boy because they say it is important to remember that obesity can bring its own set of risks to a pregnancy.
