Texas Tech Breaks Ground on Leisure Pool

Texas Tech students can soon look forward to a new leisure pool on campus.

The university broke ground on the project Friday morning. The pool itself will cover about 20,000 square feet, with another 30,000 square feet of deck area.

The tropical paradise will include two lap pools, a lazy river, hot tub, and tube slide, not to mention - a bath house and snack bar.

The leisure pool should be ready for a swim in 2008.
