Ebay Removes Vick 'Em Shirt

A popular website is taking Lubbock's most controversial T-shirt out of its circulation.

Thursday, Ebay took the "Vick 'em" shirt off its website. The shirt reportedly violates the web site's offensive material policy. That policy prohibits the sale of items that promote hatred and violence.

The shirt is a take on former NFL football player Michael Vick's dog fighting charges. But the dog being hanged is named after the Aggie mascot. Before the shirts were taken down, they were selling for nearly $130.

Meanwhile, the Saddle Tramps say not one single person took up their offer to trade in the "Vick 'Em" shirt for a "Wreck 'Em Tech" shirt. Texas Tech has banned the sale of the "Vick 'Em" shirt but officials say they can't stop students from wearing them.
