Clovis Man Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter

A Clovis man has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of a neighbor to his mother and stepfather.

Twenty-six-year-old John Cameron entered the plea Friday, three days before he was scheduled to go on trial on a charge of second-degree murder.

Nineteen-year-old Amos Soliz was killed October 16th, 2006, at a Clovis duplex.

Cameron's parents had told investigators they had an ongoing dispute with Soliz's roommate.
