Two People Stabbed in Northwest Lubbock Neighborhood

We are getting new details on an overnight double stabbing. A brother and sister were both stabbed and her husband has been charged.

It appears the stabbing was a domestic dispute. The sister, Amy Haney and her brother Curtis Nay were both stabbed by Haney's husband, 19 year old Tim Haney. We spoke with neighbors Thursday morning who tell us the couple only lived at the home for about a week.  The stabbing happened around 10:15 Thursday night at the home at 6101 20th Street, which is on the corner of 20th and Iola. Lubbock Police and crime lab detectives were on scene for at least 9 hours gathering evidence.

The brother and sister were both stabbed and taken to UMC with serious injuries. We know that one victim, Amy Haney had multiple stab wounds. Their conditions are unknown at this time. Moments after the stabbing police arrested Tim Haney near the Walmart at 82nd and Milwaukee. He was also treated for injuries to his arm during the stabbing, Haney is charged with aggravated assault.
