Alleged Shoplifter Breaks Out of Lubbock Police Car

A man is behind bars this morning after allegedly stealing four quarts of oil from a Lubbock convenience store. Police arrested the suspect around 12:45 a.m. Friday at the Town & Country at 82nd and I-27.

Officers put him in the back of a police cruiser, but he allegedly kicked out the window and took off running. Police chased the man down, strapped him to a board, and took him to jail in the paddy wagon.
