A Lubbock man is hospitalized after being struck by a car. Police say 61-year-old Eloy Rios was struck while crossing 50th street, near Avenue Q, around 9:50 pm Sunday.
The driver of the car, 40-year-old Beverly Shelton, had just turned east onto 50th from Avenue Q when the accident occurred. Rios was taken to UMC with critical injuries. Police say he failed to yield the right of way.
