Elderly Lubbock Pedestrian Hit in Shopping Center Parking Lot - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

An elderly Lubbock woman is hospitalized, after she was hit in the parking lot of a Lubbock shopping center Tuesday afternoon. 

Witnesses say it happened as she crossed the parking lot in front of Michael's at South Loop 289 and Slide Road. The driver of the pickup told police he turned the corner and did not see her.

EMS took Anita King, 76, to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

King is the second elderly pedestrian to be hit this week. Eloy Rios was hit crossing 50th Street near Avenue Q on Sunday. He remains hospitalized at University Medical Center.
