Construction is now underway on what Lubbock leaders call a city changing project.
Tuesday afternoon, the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance broke ground on the Lubbock Business Park. The 583-acre park is located near the airport, at I-27 and Yucca Lane.
Within three to five years, it will house five companies including a distribution center for O'Reilly Auto Parts. Eventually, nineteen companies are expected to move into the park and generate an estimated $994 million dollars.
