Broccoli Benefits

Make sure broccoli sprouts are on the menu regularly too.

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University used broccoli sprout extract to create a topical cream and discovered in the lab that it may help prevent skin cancer.

Then, they tested the product on humans and mice and found those who received the highest doses of the broccoli sprout cream had 37-percent less redness and inflammation from u-v rays.

The researchers say the cream works differently from sunscreen in that it goes inside skin cells and helps them fight off u-v damage.
