Woman In Wheelchair Hit While Crossing Street

For the third time this week, a Lubbock pedestrian is hospitalized. This time, the victim was in a wheelchair. Around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, a woman was crossing the street at 50th and Avenue W in her wheelchair. A car hit the 66-year-old woman and the wheelchair. EMS took the woman to the hospital with serious injuries.

Tuesday, an elderly woman was hit while walking in the Michael's parking lot near South Loop 289 and Slide. Anita King is in critical condition.

Eloy Rios is also in critical condition. The 61 year old was crossing the street on 50th street near Avenue Q on Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle.
